Brad Hoffman
Superannuation Technical Counsel
Brad has spent the past 28 years advising trustees and other industry professionals on all elements of SMSF accounting, taxation, legal and strategic issues. With a history in accounting and law, Brad is one of Queensland’s longest-serving superannuation specialists, having also advised industry superannuation funds and the Public Trustee of Queensland. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.
Additionally, Brad has a strong understanding of small business, having run his own company for more than 20 years. He wrote one of the first SMSF trust deeds designed to address the SIS regime back in 1993 – a deed which has since been used by more than 35,000 superannuation funds around Australia.
Brad is married with two teenage boys. He enjoys reading and any sports which involve a ball.
